Application Requirements

Admission is primarily based on school records and standardized test scores in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades, online application and essay, letters of reference, state exam results and the TACHS Exam results.
Step 1 – Take the TACHS Exam or La Salle’s Admissions Exam
The Test for Admissions into Catholic High School (TACHS) Exam is the primary means of applying to La Salle Academy. Students enrolled in Catholic elementary schools can register for the TACHS through their school. Students enrolled at public middle schools can obtain information and register for the TACHS at www.tachsinfo.com.
La Salle Academy’s TACHS Exam Code is 107.
For those students who do not take the TACHS Exam, La Salle Academy offers its own monthly Admissions Exam by appointment. The exam is three hours in length. Registration Day for the Class of 2027 is March 1, 2023.
Step 2 – Complete your online application for La Salle Academy through the FACTS Management application link
Click here to complete the online application. There is a $25 application fee payable to FACTS Management required when applying. If a 9th grade applicant is accepted to La Salle and registers for the 2023-2024 academic year, this fee will be deducted from La Salle’s $280 enrollment fee.
Prepare to submit/upload the following items when completing the online application:
- Short Essay
- 6th, 7th and most recent 8th grade transcripts/report cards
- Two letters of reference from your volunteer supervisor, teacher, and/or guidance counselor
- Most recent ELA/Math state test scores
Step 3 – Visit & Tour
Guided tours of La Salle Academy are available to prospective students and their families by appointment only. Parents/guardians are also welcome to schedule a visit with Mr. Anthony Chin, Director of Recruitment and Admissions, to ask specific questions or discuss the programs and services La Salle Academy offers to incoming freshmen.
Step 4 – Complete your La Salle Academy Financial Aid Application
Applying for financial aid is optional and requires a $40 application fee payable to FACTS Management.
Financial aid eligibility will be determined on the basis of a family’s need and the availability of funds. La Salle Academy uses FACTS Management to make initial recommendations for all financial aid applicants. All recommendations are then reviewed by La Salle Academy’s Tuition Assistance Committee before decisions are finalized. La Salle’s FACTS Institution ID is #6422.
