Over 50 boys volunteered at the Special Olympics at Randall’s Island, for their Annual NYC Sports’ Championships. The students and faculty were able to meet some of the athletes as well as Neil Johnson, the CEO of the NYS Special Olympics. All were in great spirits on this day of service.

Nearly 30 boys marched in the 46th Annual African American Day Parade with the NAACP. As students and faculty marched along 125th Street, we were announced to much fanfare. One student even snapped a picture with Mayor Dinkins!

Nearly 30 La Salle students gathered together on Mulberry Street to march in the San Gennaro Festival Parade in Little Italy on Saturday, September 12. Many of La Salle’s staff and faculty, including President, Dr. Catherine Guerriero, and Dean Ray Polanco, both cheered alongside the boys, representing La Salle with great pride.
