Michael Coffino

Class of 1966

After a four-decade career as a trial attorney, Michael Coffino ‘66 pivoted to become a full-time professional writer. Since 2015, he has written or co-authored nine books, six of which are published and three of which are set for release in 2021, including his debut novel, Truth is in the House, which debuts on July 6th. Michael also represents other writers in querying literary agents, submitting to publishers, and writing (and editing) book proposals. He evaluates and developmentally edits fiction and non-fiction manuscripts and edits and ghostwrites a wide range of other material for clients, including web content, articles, blogs, social media posts, speeches, and public presentations. As an attorney, Michael published countless articles, wrote press releases for clients, and was a writing coach and instructor to young attorneys. He has an author page on Amazon. William Dempsey

Class of 1959

After graduating from La Salle Academy, William Dempsey ‘59 attended St. Francis College in Brooklyn and later entered U.S. Air Force Officer Training. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in May 1964 and assigned to USAF Training Command, providing systems and programming training and support to all USAF commands. In 1968, Bill joined Hughes Nevada Operations in Las Vegas as a Systems Analyst and Programmer. By 1971 he was promoted to Director of Data Processing and was responsible for all computer software and operations for 21 operating divisions. Five years later, Bill left Hughes to launch his own computer software and services business which he operated for 30 years before retiring in 2006. His company specialized in accounting software for the gaming and hospitality industries. Major clients included Hilton Hotels and Southern Bell Advanced Systems. Bill is a licensed instrument-rated pilot with over 1600 flying hours and is an active participant in his Las Vegas community as a member of the Kiwanis Club, Treasurer and President of Southern Nevada Executive Council, and Board Member of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

Albert Mrozik

Class of 1971

After 33 years of working for the City of Newark Department of Law, Albert Mrozik ’71 retired. In part, this was precipitated by the COVID-19 infection he caught at work in April 2020. Albert was the acting chief municipal prosecutor three times during his career and was also in charge of Collection Litigation. To keep his Municipal Law trial certification current, he is the alternative municipal prosecutor for Irvington and West Orange Townships, both in Essex County. Albert is looking forward to purchasing and settling into his winter home in West Hollywood, California, soon.
