I am proud to be able to help in a small way

I grew up in Brooklyn where I received an excellent education in public schools, including going on to attend Brooklyn College for free. Today, the New York City education system is failing to properly educate our children, especially Blacks and Latinos. La Salle Academy, however, provides a first-rate education for all of its students.

At La Salle, students are given the kind of foundation they need to be good citizens and successful in life. They all graduate and gain acceptance to good colleges, mostly 4-year institutions. But many of La Salle’s population relies on scholarship aid to attend the school. 72% of La Salle Academy students receive need-based tuition assistance and the average amount a La Salle family can afford to pay is only $5,300 per year, out of the $11,000 annual tuition the school charges.

I have been a contributor to La Salle Academy for 15 years now, and I am proud to be able to help as a Lasallian Patron, even if it is in a small way.
