Last night, both the Cardinals JV and Varsity Bowling teams faced off against Archbishop Molloy High School in the Brooklyn – Queens Championship.
Varsity lost the series 2-1 but was led by Devin Flowers with a high game of 221 and a 615 three game series. Devin was followed by Eric Santana who had a 201 game and a 589 series.
The Varsity ended their regular season 10 -1 and the Brooklyn – Queens Playoffs 1 – 1.
Junior Varsity won the B/Q Championship with a 3-0 sweep as Michael Anorve led all scores for the JV with a 192 game and a 509 three game series. Michael was followed by freshman Jimmy Falcon who shot a 167 game. The win was a great team effort as it boosted their playoff record to 2 – 0 and secured the Brooklyn-Queens Championship. The JV ended their regular 11 – 0 and the first team in the history of LaSalle Bowling to have an undefeated regular season in the ” A ” division.
Both teams advance to the Catholic High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) City Championships which begin on January 10th.
