Varsity Baseball Recap: Cardinals Caught in the Storm

Monday, May 8, 2017 – The La Salle Cardinals went on the road and dropped their first game in nearly a month with a lethargic 1-2 loss to St. John’s Prep at Elmjack Little League in Queens.  The loss drops La Salle to 8-4 overall and 8-2 in league play.

John Michael Silvers took the loss scattering five hits over 5 1/3 innings giving up two earned runs. On offense, the Cardinals could only muster four hits of their own, two by Gilbert Santos, Jr (2 for 3, 2B, SB) and were kept off balance by St. John’s starting pitcher, who went the distance for the win.


SENIOR DAY is on Wednesday, May 10th as we celebrate the La Salle Baseball Class of 2017 against Bishop Loughlin at East River Park Field #6.  The Captain, Senior pitcher Danny Maria gets the start. First pitch is at 4:00pm.
